At Whitley Academy we offer a range of courses that suit all students. The aim of any Post 16 study is to be successful and therefore we consider carefully what requirements students require to progress onto the different courses available.

Leadership

Whitley Academy Post 16 students are role models to the rest of the school, and are encouraged to support the school where possible. This involves all Post 16 students peer mentoring students in lower years, the chance to apply for one of four roles – Head Boy/ Girl, Deputy Head Boy/ Girl, and being involved in School Council.

A Level Courses

Whitley Academy offers students a wide range of courses that are suitable to individual learning pathways.

Careers and Enrichment

As part of student’s programme of study at Whitley Academy Post 16, main courses will be complimented by enrichment and work experience activities.

Severn Trent works in Abbey Road 2nd December

We have received notification from Severn Trent that their contractors will be carrying out maintenance works in Abbey Road, near to the corner leading to the Avenue, in the week commencing 2nd December. This means that there will be 2-way traffic lights in place to control traffic. The works will be set up on Monday 2nd and are expected to last for the rest of the week.

A member of our Facilities team will be meeting with the contractors on Monday to ensure that risks to pupils entering and exiting the school site are minimized. We would also ask your support in ensuring pupil safety by being considerate to where you stop or park your vehicle; the works do mean that there will be no drop off/pick up for pupils from the school entrance and parking will be restricted in Abbey Road and The Avenue.
