School Admissions

Whitley Academy is accessible to all students who live within our local communities. We have no selection process. The admission arrangements for the school are controlled by the Children, Learning and Young People's Directorate of Coventry City Council.

The school's admission number for Year 7 is 160 for September 2013.

If you are a Year 5 / Year 6 Parent and want to apply for a secondary school place at Whitley Academy you should complete the Common Application Form contained in the booklet "Secondary Education in Coventry" or you can complete an on-line application form at the following web site address:

The Local Authority booklets containing the application form(s) for parents to complete for a secondary school place for September 2012 are normally delivered via a child’s primary school at the beginning of July and needs to be completed by the end of October to ensure parents get their best choice for schools.

The Schools Brochure for prospective parents is also available at the beginning of July.

If you have recently moved to Coventry, or are planning to in the near future please contact us for a visit and application meeting.

Should you then wish your child to attend Whitley Academy you will need to contact the City Councils Admissions Service for a formal application form. (See City Council Link).

All new students are closely monitored and supported during their first term with us. It is vital they make a great start to their new school.
