About Whitley Academy

We are a comprehensive school of approximately 788 students and 118 staff, committed to delivering quality education for the communities that we serve.

As a comprehensive school, we value all members of our community as individual people with differing needs and abilities. We work to provide a stimulating and caring environment, in which everybody can do their best, and achieve success.

 

This aim influences all that happens within the school. It determines, from day one, how we work with parents and students in the partnership between home and school.

We aim to ensure that each student develops into a responsible adult, with high self esteem. Enterprise and risk taking underpin the school's ethos and students and clients develop a resilience and capacity for independent living and learning in order to succeed. Our students are our local community’s future.
